Several states in India this year will mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 with new schemes and public welfare drives under the banner of Seva Pakhwada.
How states will celebrate PM Modi’s 75th birthday
In Delhi, the government will roll out a Rs 3,000-crore development package that include 75 new welfare projects, the opening of over 100 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, hospital upgrades, new fire tenders for congested areas, and drone technology initiatives developed by girl students.
Uttar Pradesh has announced a large-scale tree plantation campaign with a target of 15 lakh saplings to be planted by October 2 along degraded forests and riverbanks, complemented by health camps, sports activities, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions promoting local products.
In Assam, the state government has launched Orunodoi 3.0, an expanded version of its flagship welfare scheme to coincide with the Prime Minister’s birthday.
Madhya Pradesh has also prepared an extensive set of events, including the launch of the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan” focused on women’s and family health, the groundbreaking of the first PM MITRA textile park expected to generate large-scale employment, and campaigns like “Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam” and the distribution of sickle cell health cards.
Alongside these state-level programs, the BJP and allied organisations have also coordinated a nationwide Seva Pakhwada campaign, featuring marathons, youth runs, blood donation drives, and local business fairs. Together, these initiatives will show how different states use the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday to introduce or expand development and social welfare programs across the country.
