Apple held its highly anticipated Apple Event 2025, themed “Awe Dropping,” on Tuesday where it unveiled a major refresh of its flagship products, including the new iPhone 17 series, Apple Watch updates, and AirPods Pro 3.
While the much-rumoured Siri upgrade was missing, the company delivered a slim new iPhone Air, redesigned iPhone 17 Pro models, and AirPods Pro with heart rate sensors. The regular iPhone 17 finally gains the long-awaited ProMotion display, and the Apple Watch lineup gets major health-focused upgrades. Apple also confirmed release dates for its next-generation operating systems. Here’s everything announced at the showcase –
iPhone 17 Series: Four models
Apple introduced four new iPhone 17 models, the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, with slight change in design, camera technology, and performance.
iPhone 17: Available in five colours, Lavender, Mist Blue, Black, White, and Sage, the iPhone 17 features an upgraded A19 chip that powers smoother performance and greater energy efficiency. It sports a brighter, larger display with ProMotion technology and an innovatively upgraded Center Stage front camera with 24MP resolution, doubling last year’s 12MP. The phone offers all-day battery life and integrates AI-driven functionalities baked into iOS 19. Prices in India start at Rs 82,900 for the 256GB model and Rs 1,02,900 for the 512GB variant.
iPhone 17 Air: The standout device of the launch, the iPhone 17 Air, is Apple’s thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.6mm thick and exceptionally light. Crafted with a grade 5 titanium frame, it combines durability with an elegant mirror finish. Equipped with a 48MP Fusion camera system and the same powerful A19 chip, it offers pro-level performance in an ultra-portable form factor. The Air model replaces the traditional Plus lineup and comes in four finishes, Space Black, Cloud White, Light Gold, and Sky Blue. Pricing in India starts at Rs 1,19,900 for 256GB, Rs 1,39,900 for 512GB, and Rs 1,59,900 for 1TB storage.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max: These flagship models debut the most advanced technologies Apple has introduced so far, an enhanced A19 Pro chip, the most powerful processor for smartphones, and a freshly redesigned chassis with cutting-edge materials. Both models offer upgraded camera systems including better telephoto zoom, improved low-light photography, and cinematic video mode enhancements. In India, the iPhone 17 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 for the 256GB version, while the Pro Max begins at Rs 1,49,900.
Apple Watch Family: Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3
Apple also refreshed its smartwatch lineup with three key models:
Apple Watch Series 11: Featuring a slimmer design, the Series 11 offers enhanced health monitoring sensors, an always-on display, and improved battery life. It runs on the new S10 chip, boasting faster performance with better energy efficiency. Price starts at USD 399.
Apple Watch SE 3: The SE model introduces an always-on display for the first time in the affordable tier, along with gesture controls like wrist flick for managing notifications and calls. It runs the S10 chip like the Series 11 but comes at a more accessible price of USD 249.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Billed as Apple’s most advanced watch, the Ultra 3 boasts a 42-hour battery life, 5G cellular connectivity, and satellite support for emergency communication. It also features a larger display and faster charging capabilities. Price is USD 799.
AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 upgrade refines the true wireless experience with a more compact design and improved touch controls for volume and playback. The new H3 chip enhances audio processing for adaptive noise cancellation and spatial audio features, offering richer sound quality and smarter Siri integration.
Software: iOS 19, watchOS 26, macOS 26 Tahoe, and more
